This particular pocket of the South Coast of NSW is quite literally where farmland and the forest meet the sea. As you drive into Milton township you will immersed in the rolling green hills of prime dairy country, mere moments later, hang a left at the Heritage Bakery and you can be surfing some of the most pristine beaches in the country.
The local culinary scene has come a long way baby. Below, a comprehensive list of our friends and favourites;
Milk Haus – Not quite a ten minute drive out of town in a renovated old dairy, this is farm to table eating at its best. Not to be missed.
Delly’s – These guys do REALLY good sandwiches, and cookies, and filter coffee, and burgers, really, really good burgers.
Brown Sugar – It’s all about the homemade lemon tea cake and scones.
Treehouse – If you find yourself venturing into Ulladulla a lazy, seasonal lunch here should definitely be on the cards. A slice of their daily cake is all but essential.
Lagom – THE best sourdough you’ll ever eat. Hands down. Oh, and excellent croissants, toasties, coffee, fruit buns, muffins and focaccia.
Pilgrims – The original and the best location of this vegetarian institution. Conveniently, right across the road.
The Fish Shop -You won’t find better or fresher fish and chips on the South Coast. Get there the second they open.
Cupitt’s Estate – A South Coast institution, and for good reason. Whiling away an afternoon on the vineyard, drinking both wine and beer made on premise as well as local cheeses and wood fired pizza is a no brainer. Or book inside at the restaurant for a special occasion.
Bar Yuki – killer cocktails and great Japanese small plates. This place is a vibe and not to be missed
The Ruse – Authentic Mexican cuisine on the harbour. Come for the Fish Taco, stay for the margarita’s.
Gwylo – Modern Asian using excellent produce, much of it local, done super well, with fun beats and mouth-watering cocktails.
Harvest Milton – is situated on a three acre farm in the heart of Milton. A great venue to meet, eat, drink & relax your night & day away. We recommend setting up a picnic rug on the lawns.
Nomah – Flavours from the Middle East dominate the menu at this gem right across the road. Fresh and zesty and perfectly situated right across the road from us.
Small Town Food and Wine Provisions – Fabrica pasta, LP’s Quality Meats and a wonderfully curated selection of traditional and naturally produced wine.
